Message from Host, Raymond Kyerematen
Welcome!
Thank you very much for visiting this page to find out more about my 30th birthday plans with you in Morocco. Indeed it will be my greatest pleasure to have your presence while I celebrate this milestone. Every plan has been made with you in mind and as your host, I can verify that this will be the best birthday trip you have ever been to.
I have attempted to load this page with as much information you’ll need for this trip as possible, however I do understand some questions may remain unanswered.
Therefore, there is a special support team on standby that is dedicated to respond to all questions and queries within 24 hours upon request. You can access this link on the top right corner of the main page.
My Birthday Week With You
I will be spending a total of 6 nights 7 days with you from Tuesday 19th November 2024, when I expect guests to arrive to Monday 25th November, 2024 when all is done and dusted except you want to stay longer.
Please note that the celebration will be in two parts, ie: ‘PART I’ & ‘PART II’.
While there are limited accommodation service provided by your host for PART I based on “first come, first serve”, in a carefully selected five star villa in the heart of Marakkech, from Tuesday 19th November, 2024 to Friday 22nd November, 2024, with check out on Saturday 23rd November, 2024, the second part ie: PART II will be a glamorous camping experience popularly known as “glamping”on a carefully selected Moroccan desert with check in from Saturday 23rd November and check out on Monday 25th November, 2024.
It’s important to note that while there is limited accommodation for “PART I”, guests are to fully sponsor themselves for “PART II” for the two days period. In the ‘save the date’ document that was sent to you earlier, there are clear details on daily activities. Please note that the big day/birthday gala is on Thursday, 21st November, 2024-where guests are expected to represent with glitz and glamour inspired by the theme, Casablanca's Rick's Cafe Americain and the opulence of The Great Gatsby.
Hotels & Restaurants
While there is free limited accommodation for the first part of the event, I understand not all guests may want to stay in the same place, and so, guests in this category as well as those who decide to come later are recommended to check on www.booking.com and www.hotels.com for preferred hotels within 5km from the city centre so we can still do things together.
Marrakech has a tall list of urban and traditional restaurants. Here are some of the top on our list, L’Ô à la Bouche, L’mida, Pepe Nero, Best Restaurant Maroc. Alternatively we advise guests to visit www.Tripadvisor.com for wider options.
Travel & Visas
The main airports to travel to and fro are Casablancca and Marrakesh Airports. Even though we strongly advise guests to arrive in Marrakesh where possible, Casablanca is a cheaper option for guest travelling from Africa. There are direct trains from Casablanca to Marrakesh every 2 hourly at a rate of approximately 20USD. Alternatively, if a considerable number of guests arrive in Casablanca, transport arrangements will be made from Casablanca to the Villa. Here are notable airlines from different continents.
Africa: Royal Air Maroc, Turkish, Qatar, Egypt Air. Most Ecowas Passport holders need a transit visa if you are flying with Turkish Airline with an average travel time of 4 hours.
Europe: British Airways, EasyJet, RyanAir. There may be other airlines that fly from Europe but please bear in mind the enlisted are our recommendation with an average travel time of 3 hours.
Americas: Travellers from America are recommended to fly with Royal Air Maroc and TapPortugal and it is an average of 10 hours travel time.
Other Parts of the World: Travellers from other parts of the world are encouraged to check Skyscanner for flight recommendations. Where difficult, please contact the support team for assistance.
All travellers are strongly advised to travel with insurance.

FAQs
What is the plan for the week?
The week is filled with exciting things to do. Find more details on the document that was sent to your whatsApp. The gala night is Thursday 21st November, 2024.
What will I need to fund?
You will need to fund your flight fare and in a rare case scenario where guests miss the limited accommodation, hotel. Additionally,as there will be a private chef available, a small fee will be communicated to take care of groceries for your entire stay in the Villa.
Where can I stay?
There are limited accommodation services based on first come, first serve.
See hotels and restaurants for my suggestions.
What will I need to get a visa for Morocco?
See travel and visas for the information.
Can I come for just a day or two?
Yes. Based on your schedule you can come any day during that period. However, please don’t miss Thursday 21st November, 2024.
Do you have a gift list?
BRING CASH!!!!!
Can I bring my girlfriend/boyfriend?
Yes. You can bring your partners. However RSVP should be done within May and July by filling the google form in the RSVP button.
What if I commit to coming then have to drop out for unforeseen reasons?
We do understand that unforeseen circumstances can prevent you from attending. Please serve me notice in advance and I am sure we will be able to make some arrangements.
How hot will it be?
Somewhere between 23 C (average high for November) and 11 C (the average low). November generally gets three days of rain (I hope not in a row!).
Will I need to speak Arabic or French?
French has long been a good lubricant in Morocco, but English is now widely spoken.
How easy is it to get around?
Within Marrakech, there is no Uber or Lyft. There are many yellow petit-taxis, but they can’t get very far within the heart of the city, the Medina. Here, it’s best to walk. This is made easier by the fact that it’s very tightly packed, not very large, and mostly shaded. However, do take great care not to step in donkey poo (donkey carts will frequently pass you), and watch your back – literally. Moroccans whizz up and down its narrow streets in motorcycles, and they will cut alarmingly close to you in crowded spaces.
What do you recommend I bring with me?
Alcohol and more alcohol.
